Peace – Relaxing Essential Oil Blend

Stress and anxiety are two words we hear constantly as our world continues to spin out of control. We battle stress every day and fret anxiously over all our worries, cares and concerns. Yet we tend to forget God’s kind words in Matthew 6:26–34. Take a moment now to read them and allow His promises to penetrate your heart with His peace.

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? ‘So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

The King of the universe clearly pledges to provide for us. Yet we fall into the worry trap so easily. Granted, at times our worries are real and we need to find a way to handle the stress before it harms our body, soul, mind and spirit. We need peace— and not peace that the world gives, but peace which is everlasting. But where do we get this peace in times of chaos? When things spin out of control, my first instinct is to run to Him. He does, after all, have all the answers for our worries. It is important for us to find out from Him what is happening in our lives and how we are to respond. Without His guidance, we will merely be grasping at straws. At this point in the tale, I invite you to take the little bottle of Peace essential oil in your hands and slowly inhale the aroma as I share with you what He once shared with me.

There was a time I had to trust God for a specific amount of money. To make matters worse, I needed the amount before a specific date. I prayed and talked to Him about the need and asked Him to provide. After another prayer session in the early hours one morning, I knew He had answered me and promised to provide. Yet I knew my flesh would continue worrying and stressing even though I knew He had given me the assurance of His provision. I then decided to ask Him for His help and guidance on how to keep my flesh calm. He gave me a Scripture in Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

He added that this Scripture would form the basis for me to use and that I had to alter it to say, “The Lord is my Provider. Why shall I fear?” I quoted this Scripture to my flesh every time I felt worry or stress grab hold of me. Finally—slowly but surely—my trust in Him as my Provider grew. The stress and worries began to fade away as I flooded my mind with His promises. This was once again a journey with Him, but in the end, I reached His peace. His peace is a peace that I can’t describe, as it is more marvellous and magnificent than any peace I have ever felt.

Proclaiming Scripture is only one of the many tools He uses to help us. I remember another time when I had to find His peace for my life. As I pondered how to go about finding that peace, I suddenly found myself staring into His eyes. My mind raced as I tried to make sense of what was happening. Who was I seeing and for what reason? Suddenly I realised that this man was Yeshua and it hit me like a lightning bolt that He Himself is Peace! What a remarkable discovery to be etched into my mind. In that instant, I chose to look into His eyes and let the peace radiating from His eyes flood my whole being. Time stood still as I embraced this moment and realised; He was teaching me a tremendously powerful lesson to be remembered. Times came when I forgot about this wonderful experience, but He was faithful and would gently remind me. At other times His face and wonderful eyes would pop up in front of me! One glance into His eyes and His peace would flood my being.

His peace is not as the world gives, but a peace that goes beyond simply having peace. Inhale the aroma of Peace and take the time to look into His eyes radiating His Peace for you. He is with us at all times. “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
