Thankfulness – Breathe Easy Essential Oil Blend

Our lives are often so filled with running from one task to the next appointment and on to the next responsibility that our minds are even harder at work than our legs. We toss and turn at night because we simply cannot get our thoughts to shut down. We feel suffocated and struggle to catch our breath. We never stop. We simply keep running as if the whole world is chasing us.

This frantic lifestyle can often make us feel that everything, anything and everyone around us is negative. We struggle to see the light and start feeling down and depressed. We look at life, wondering about the purpose and our worth? Will we ever be able to breathe freely and enjoy life?

As I was pondering life, our existence and the tremendous weight of unhappiness threatening to suffocate us, God challenged me. He challenged me with thankfulness. He challenged me to start thanking Him. I decided to accept His challenge and to start thanking Him. As soon as I started, I simply couldn’t stop. I lifted my eyes and saw the million things right outside my front door to thank Him for! I thanked Him for food, clothing, a house, a son, family, a warm bed, couches, chairs, tables, a ceiling, groceries, and so much more. I was amazed. I continued  my thankfulness towards Him the next day and then the next and the next…

When I made my first essential oil nasal inhaler, I decided that it would be Thankfulness. As I inhaled the smell pouring from the tiny container, a sense of wonder overtook me—my respiratory system loved the aromas flooding it!

Every now and then I choose to become still to remember how suffocating my life had been. I was suffocating in my own negativity. The little inhaler of Thankfulness serves as a reminder every day to stop—thank Him—inhale—and exhale. We have a lot to be thankful for in every circumstance.
